Workforce Highlight: Washington AIDS Education and Training Center (WA AETC): Recruiting Treatment Providers in the South Puget Sound Area and Yakima Valley

The Washington AIDS Education and Training Center (WA AETC), situated within the University of Washington School of Medicine Division of Allergy & Infectious Diseases, is instrumental in augmenting HIV prevention and care statewide. Nestled in the Harborview Medical Center campus, the WA AETC fosters collaboration among clinical, non-clinical, and allied health staff from various sectors, including public and private health facilities, local health departments, community-based organizations, and behavioral health providers.
Key Objectives:
  1. Education and Training: The WA AETC provides cutting-edge education and training programs designed to bolster knowledge and skills pertinent to HIV prevention and care.
  2. Clinical Consultation: The center offers expert clinical consultation to ensure the delivery of high-quality care for individuals living with HIV or those at risk of acquiring it.
  3. Technical Assistance: Essential technical support is rendered by the WA AETC to enhance access to care and patient outcomes throughout the HIV care continuum.

​Providers Wanted!
There is an immediate need for treatment providers to address HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis C in the South Puget Sound area and Yakima Valley.
