Core Competencies for CHC Managers & Supervisors at All Levels

In this virtual, highly-interactive, and engaging management skills training, health center managers and supervisors at all levels develop and strengthen critical skills necessary to successfully navigate their roles in today's increasingly challenging CHC environment.

Beyond Core Competencies: Next Level Skills for CHC Managers and Supervisors

This virtual, hands-on and highly interactive 6-week program moves beyond the “core” competencies required to effectively manage and supervise a health center team and delves into higher-level areas of knowledge, practices and skills needed to be a great manager or supervisor.

Beginning with a review of crucial skills needed to hire, coach, retain and manage others, we quickly move to elevated learning to take management skills to the next level.
This training is recommended for managers and supervisors with a minimum of 18 months of supervisory experience OR as a follow-up to the program “Core Competencies for CHC Managers and Supervisors at All Levels.”.

Uniform Data System (UDS) Training

In this three-day online training, attendees will understand the who, what, when, where, and how of UDS reporting, discuss common reporting errors, and review key resources and supports available.

In addition, day three will focus on UDS Modernization with a HRSA representative. Attendees will understand the who, what, when, where, and how of UDS reporting, discuss common reporting errors, and review key resources and supports available.  Participants should plan to attend all sessions for a full and comprehensive understanding of the complete UDS report.
Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a counseling technique that is patient-centered and collaborative. It can be effective in addressing vaccine hesitancy. Some parents who are hesitant about vaccines may experience conflicting emotions and uncertainty about whether or not to have their children immunized. MI can help individuals explore and resolve their ambivalence towards behaviors that prevent change. It can also promote and increase patient motivation towards positive behavioral change and develop personalized plans for behavior change. Attendees of this program will learn important MI skills and strategies to navigate conversations with parents and caregivers about vaccine hesitancy.
