Community Health Improvement ProgramsCommunity Health Worker InstituteThe Community Health Worker Institute serves as a training, technical assistance, and resource hub for community health centers (CHCs) to help them train and integrate Community Health Workers (CHWs) into health center care teams.
The Institute offers training and technical assistance for the following three focus areas:
CHW/Promotor/a Peer Learning WorkgroupThe CHW Peer Learning Workgroup is a space in which Community Health Workers/Promotorxs de Salud can connect with one another, network, share, and grow. NWRPCA provides networking sessions and free training for CHWs/Promotorxs on a monthly basis. The Peer Learning Workgroup is a great opportunity for CHWs/Promotorxs to connect with others around our region with similar roles, and the trainings allow them to continue adding to their toolbox.

Vulnerable PopulationsCommunity and migrant health centers (CHCs) serve a high number of individuals from the most vulnerable populations including migrant and seasonal agricultural workers. Monthly Farmworker Coalition calls allow for coordination, information sharing, partnerships, and training among CHCs and allied organizations. This space allows for frontline updates and State/National updates.
