The purpose of the CI Project is to contribute to the integrity, sustainability and viability of CHW programs through the collaborative development and adoption of a set of common process and outcome constructs and indicators for CHW practice.

​Popular Education in the CI Project

The philosophy and methodology underlying the work of the CI Project is popular education. Also referred to as “people’s education,” popular education creates settings in which people most affected by inequities share what they know, learn from others in their community, and use this to create a more just and equitable society.
