NWRPCA's Education and Training program offers professional development opportunities for community and migrant health center (C/MHC) staff, leadership, and Board Members. It aims to provide, in conjunction with the State Primary Care Associations and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), an "education home" for C/MHC professionals. The program provides a structured approach to vital continuing education and training for every professional within the network of C/MHCs.

Education and training through conferences and stand-alone workshops are instrumental in achieving the organization's mission. We cover an array of topics to meet professional development needs, including clinical, financial, operational, administrative, and governance topics. We offer three annual conferences, workshops on specific topics throughout the region, and distance learning opportunities. We also provide on-demand access to our Learning Vault, an online, extensive central hub that houses training and conference materials.

Current Trainings

Education and training is delivered through Conferences, Workshops, Webinars and eLearning. We design and offer three cornerstone annual conferences: the Fall and Spring Primary Care conferences, and the Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health. We provide standalone intensive workshops on specific topics including management skills, corporate compliance, recruitment and retention, and UDS training. And because our members are spread across 900,000 square miles, we conduct live webinars and provide eLearning offerings such as recorded webinars and online learning courses for C/MHC staff who are unable to attend in-person conferences and workshops.

Learning Vault

The Learning Vault is a centralized place for all conference and training content. Inside the Vault you will find: Primary Care Conference and conference materials - including instructor presentations, support materials, and past conference select session audio and/or video recordings; recorded webinars and workshops; and NWRPCA tutorials.

Speakers Bureau

The Speakers Bureau program builds upon NWRPCA's expertise in creating events, as well as identifying and vetting highly qualified speakers. It also serves as another avenue to bring trainings to C/MHCs throughout the region. The Speakers Bureau is compiled of three opportunities: the Speaker Referral Service, Support Services for your training, and the Speakers Bureau Roadshow. The Speaker Referral Service helps connect C/MHCs who are looking for an expert to present on high priority topics. Through our Support Services, NWRPCA can assist you in development, marketing, logistics, and execution of your training. Lastly, with the Speakers Bureau Roadshow, NWRPCA is able to provide additional face-to face trainings throughout the year in more diverse locations within the region, making educational opportunities more accessible.
