We are pleased to announce NWRPCA's first ever Health Center Recruitment, Retention, and Benefits Survey!

 

The purpose of the survey is to develop a report containing benchmarks related to the types of benefits packages and HR practices used by health centers to recruit and retain staff. CHCs can use the report determine whether their benefits packages and recruitment strategies are competitive in comparison with similar organizations in the region.

 

Highlights will include:

  • Compiled list of benefits and their average cost offered by health centers to staff
  • Average dollar amount spent on bonuses and other incentives
  • Types of recruitment services used by health centers and their average cost
  • Best practices used by health centers to successfully recruit and retain staff members
  • Workforce benchmarks and statistics (turnover, churnover, time-to-fill, etc).

How to Participate

To participate in the project, health centers will need to designate a staff member to complete an online questionnaire. The respondent should be either an HR or Finance director, and have access to the following pieces of information:

  • Existing HR practices and their success rate
  • Components of benefits package and their associated cost
  • Current workforce statistics for the organization for the prior year (total current staff, total separations, average time to fill positions, etc.)

Completing the questionnaire should take no more than 45 minutes, however it may take longer to gather data and information related to individual questions.

 

The questionnaire will go live on June 17, 2019 and stay open until July 19, 2019. Health centers that participate in data collection may purchase the final report at a significantly reduced rate.
