Annual Measures of Finance, Operations, and Productivity (AMFOP) Report

The AMFOP report is intended to serve Region X community and migrant health centers (C/MHCs) in addressing the Triple Aim as well as the transition to value-based payment methodologies through a data-driven approach.

Beyond providing valuable feedback to Region X C/MHCs on select financial, operational, and productivity measures that are most relevant to the C/MHC model, the goals of this project are to:

  • Provide a strategic tool for evaluating health center viability based on regional and national benchmarks.
  • Identify, document, and address trends in health center operational strengths and weaknesses.
  • Identify long-range training and development opportunities most relevant to health centers in Region X.

How It Works

NWRPCA works with valued partner, CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), annually to identify and gather appropriate data and metrics from participating Region X C/MHCs, and analyze the provided information to then synthesize and produce the report. Participating health centers gain significant business intelligence on local, regional, and national trends and benchmarks risk- and fee-free.

Data collection typically begins each June and the report is approximately finalized and ready for distribution by late September. Reports are circulated around the time of the annual Fall Primary Care Conference, where interested health center representatives are invited to meet and discuss the results of the data collection with NWRPCA and CLA. This timeline is most effective for financial and operationally-focused C/MHC leadership and staff as annual budgets and strategic workplans are generally developed during this time each year.

Each June, we reach out to Region X health centers to invite them to participate in the annual AMFOP data collection. Participants are asked to complete a survey and upload a variety of reports on a secured webpage, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of all data provided. No individual C/MHC or C/MHC-specific data is identified in the overall report.
