On, October 10, 2018, The Administration has issued a proposed regulation that expands the definition of “public charge”  which impacts the health and well-being of the communities we serve in our Migrant and Community Health Centers. There is a 60-day comment period starting October 10th  through December 10, 2018  for public comment  to provide feedback on the new changes to the “public charge.” Many of our Community and Migrant Health Center Partners like CPCA, NACHC, NILC and AAPCHO have shared and will be sharing resources, templates, tools, webinars and trainings regarding the public charge and immigrant and refugee related resources. Please find those on our NWRPCA Website. If you are interested in sharing feedback on the impacts of the “public charge” on our communities and health centers submit a comment before December 10th, 2018. You can submit comments directly at https://www.regulations.gov/comment?D=DHS_FRDOC_0001-1706  or if you’d like more information and public comment  templates visit some of our partner’s portals before to submit your public comment today!
