These are trying times for healthcare workers--physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, behavioral health, substance use disorder professionals, administrators, leadership and others. This also includes support staff such as receptionists, records, and billing staff.

The unique pressures of working during a pandemic are unprecedented. Workers are dealing with personal risk, limited resources, and the challenges of functioning outside of best practices and protocols. Those workers who are furloughed are also feeling financial, personal, and mental stress. Whether furloughed or working, staff members are often experiencing fear, anxiety, fatigue, sleep problems, and overwhelming frustration.

Northwest Regional Primary Care Association, Washington Association for Community Health, and Sea Mar Community Health Center are partnering to provide supportive, skill based training that targets the wide spectrum of providers in varying healthcare settings. This webinar will help by providing practical tools for staying well despite the circumstances. We will discuss causes and signs of COVID-19 stress, and how to develop tools to get through this. Participants will create a plan for work and home, enabling them to stay healthy and well during these days. Each of the three webinars will highlight a different target group and their unique needs including Providers, Supervisors/Management, and Support Staff.

   Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to describe causes and symptoms of COVID-19-related stress.
  • Participants will be able to develop tools to enhance their wellness at work and in their personal lives.
