Overview

 

The Northwest Regional Primary Care Association is committed to serving and supporting all of our community and migrant health center patients and communities. Since 1983, our organization has been dedicated to promoting collaboration, partnership, training, and leadership development opportunities to in order to ensure quality care for health center patients. This includes providing current information about relevant issues impacting health centers.
 
Join us Tuesday, February 19th in Portland, Oregon for our What You Need to Know About Immigration & Public Charge.” This training will convene partners, local experts, and community-based organizations for a day of skill building, resource sharing, leadership development, and peer networking.


 


 

Agenda

 

What You Need to Know About Immigration & Public Charge is an ideal training for Community Health Workers (CHWs) as well as managers, directors, and other community health center staff. Individuals and team ready to engage and share resources, tools, training, and skills development regarding public charge are encouraged to attend. Staff from both migrant and non-migrant CHCs are welcome as we discuss how to best support all patients, especially those impacted by the current political environment.

Speaker Highlights

 

We are pleased to announce David Bacon as our keynote speaker. David has been involved and led work around our region from the fields of Whatcom County to the Valleys of California. Bacon is a photojournalist, authot, political activist, and a union organizer whose work focuses on issues of labor and immigration.

 

We also look forward to having presenters from our region and beyond presenting throughout the training. Check back regularly for updates!
