Last month, we were excited to announce our Biannual Region X Salary Survey 2020. We had forty-five (45.0%) of the Health Centers in Region X during the 2020 survey period participated in this project, including:
27.6% of Alaska Health Centers
64.3% of Idaho Health Centers
40.0% of Oregon Health Centers
59.3% of Washington Health Centers
These 45 participating organizations spent over $655 million on wages and over $96.3 million on benefits for over 9,455 FTE employees (10,286 individuals) in 2020.
We also found out about our region’s turnover:
“Participants provided information on vacant positions for executives/directors, providers, and advanced practice providers. The average length of recruitment for positions that had a finite recruitment time (those that were not continuously recruited) was 2.75 months for executives, 9.11 months for providers, and 2.42 months for advanced practice providers. Participating organizations were also asked to provide calendar year 2019 turnover data for various staff types (average numbers of employees and separations). The average turnover rate for all staff at Region X Health Centers in 2019 was 20.4%. Participants provided dates of hire for each reported employee, used to determine Years of Service (YOS). 66.9% of the reported employees have been employed for less than five years, and 3.9% have been employed for 20+ years. The average Years of Service for all staff reported with a date of hire was 5.25 years.”
