Data Points: Region X Salary Survey 2020 Continued

Monday, April 19, 2021, Posted by: Crysta Maniscalco
Written by: Alexcia DeVasquez, Data & Information Specialist, NWRPCA

Data Highlights: Additional Incentives

All 45 health centers who participated in this Salary and Benefits Survey provided information about payments to staff for eight types of additional incentives including payment of licensure fees, payment of professional association dues, payment for continuing professional education, payment of relocation expenses, payment of signing bonuses, compensation for bilingual staff, incentive-based compensation, and payment of retention bonuses. Each health center was asked to identify whether or not they provided payment to employees within six staff types for each incentive, and if so, to provide the average dollar amount paid for that benefit to the staff group based on their organizational policies.

One of the examples of an Additional Incentive was:

Payment for Continuing Professional Education

97.8% offered an average of $2,951 annually to each staff member earning this incentive.
The average annual amount available for continuing professional education for individual staff groups ranged from $1,919 for Clinical Support to $3,482 for Dental Providers/Advanced Practice Providers

Over half of the responding Health Centers said that they offered 6 or more incentives. To find out more and purchase our Salary Survey here.
