  • Universal Newborn Hearing Screening and Intervention Program
    The purpose of this program is to develop a comprehensive and coordinated statewide Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) system of care targeted towards ensuring that newborns and infants are receiving appropriate and timely services, including screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and early intervention (EI). Deadline: October 14, 2016
  • Building a Systems Approach to Community Health and Health Equity for Academic Medical Centers
    Funds a series of workshops focused on improving community health, population health, and health equity to make health care safer and more accessible, affordable, and equitable. Deadline: October 28, 2016
  • Nursing Workforce Diversity Program
    The overall purpose of the NWD program is to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, including ethnic and racial minorities who are underrepresented among registered nurses. Deadline: November 14, 2016

  • Rural Health Research Dissemination Cooperative Agreement
    The purpose of this program is to disseminate and market rural health services research funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) to diverse audiences, such as decision makers and rural stakeholders at national, state, and community levels, with the goal of informing and raising awareness of key policy issues important to rural communities. Deadline: December 14, 2016
  • Addressing Health Disparities in Maternal and Child Health through Community-Based Participatory Research
    The areas of research emphasis include: preterm birth; infant mortality; sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS); maternal mortality; reproductive health; uterine fibroid tumors; childhood, adolescent, and/or adult obesity; violence prevention; perinatal HBV and HIV/AIDS prevention; HIV/AIDS prevention; asthma; intellectual and developmental disabilities; pediatric injury prevention; and medical rehabilitation. Support will be provided for formative research; pilot or feasibility studies; development, adaptation and/or testing of methodologies; and development and/or testing of technology for the purpose of reducing maternal and child health disparities.
