After being a successful business owner and bank manager in Venezuela, Jesus Bervis decided to move to the USA, about 21 years ago.  Without any knowledge the English language and culture, he started with nothing and had to work hard to get where he is today.  He has served as Eligibility Manager for Neighborcare Health since 2008 and is actively involved in community access to health care.

In his role, he has developed and implemented many staff and other community partners-training initiatives to enhance people's skills for the achievement of access to health care and to support health care reform.  Jesús is constantly seeking creative ways to foster a dynamic learning environment and to promote high quality and continuous improvement to health care access. He has been invited to be speaker at two National Conferences; one for the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) Conference in Chicago - 2011, and the other for Enroll America's State of Enrollment conference in Washington DC - 2015.  Jesús is excited to be serving as a liaison for the underprivileged uninsured and their right to use health care at his community health center.

Jesús’ passion for his work with vulnerable people specially children, supports his organization goal to reduce the number of uninsured people in Seattle, while at the same time honoring them for what they do and, most important, for who they are!

He currently lives in the Seattle area with his family.  When he's not spending time helping others, he loves to spend time with his loved ones.
