Health Equity and the Science of HOPE Focus of Healthy Gen’s April Conference

The New Year is upon us and only four short months away from one of the best two-day events in the health equity movement – Healthy Gen’s Coalescing for Change – the Science of HOPE conference, April 19th and 20th at the Hilton Seatac Airport & Conference Center.

Last year the nearly sold-out conference captivated audiences with workshops, facilitated dialogues and keynote speakers. And this year promises to offer even more. Check out some of the highlights from last year in this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wow-c5LQTjg. And you can also go to http://healthygen.org/resources/coalescing-change-overview-agenda-0 to see the whole agenda from last year.

Healthy Gen is proud to bring together leading thinkers and doers in the health equity movement. This year, in addition to more than 20 deep-dive workshops and breakouts, there will be four keynote speakers, including one of the leading experts on the science of hope, Dr. Chan Hellman, Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at University of Oklahoma-Tulsa and founding director of the Center of Applied Research for Nonprofit Organizations.

In addition to inspirational speakers and trainers, Healthy Gen has several surprises up their sleeves. These action-packed two days promises not only to inspire and educate but foster connectedness and hope-filled action. For the first time, Healthy Gen will be presenting a number of awards to elected officials, thought leaders, community activists and HOPEtivists!

Not only is it likely to sell out, (according to evaluations last year, 95% of attendees said they will be back!) but available immediately for members of the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association is a 20% discount - but only through the December 31st.  Go to http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07ea9la9pte610d9a4&llr=wx97qlcab  to register and enter the promo code: HOPE&NWRPCA.  Finally, Healthy Gen will also be providing a number of scholarships! If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please send an email to Sophia Bona-Layton at sophiab@healthygen.org
