How it came to be and what it means for you

A dedicated committee from all four states in Region X worked with our Education and Training Program Manager, Eva McGinnis, to build the foundation for a competency-based professional development program for health center staffs with emphasis on administrative and board training. This comprehensive program is titled Learning Connections.  The Education and Training function of NWRPCA is now known as Learning Connections and will include all the conferences, stand-alone trainings and distance learning offerings.

Learning Connections also refers to linkages to education and training partners and opportunities within Region X.  These partnerships are being developed with PCAs, HRSA trainings, NACHC, educational institutions, libraries and other distance learning organizations.

Learning Connections Mission

The mission of Learning Connections is to provide a structured approach for world-class continuing education and training for board members and staff within the network of community and migrant health centers (CMHCs) in Region X to create an educational “home.”
