Announcing the Retirement of Eva McGinnis
Monday, July 20, 2015
It’s with a bittersweet mix of sadness, joy and appreciation that NWRPCA announces the coming retirement of Eva McGinnis. Eva has led our Education and Training Program, also known as Learning Connections, as its Program Manager since November 2008. Over the past seven years she and her team have successfully grown and evolved that program’s offerings into a very robust and popular repertoire. She has been instrumental in bringing a wealth of training to our members and other interested parties, including, but not limited to, our two annual primary care conferences, our annual Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health, the innovative trainings under our Community Health Leadership Institute and clinician leadership models, our distance learning courses, and our annual UDS training.
We thank Eva in particular for her ground-breaking work in health center leadership training, Public Health-Primary Care collaboration, and population health strategies that “push the boundaries” on effectively promoting health, wellness and well-being. Among many other distinctions, Eva will always be remembered here for her consistent and compelling advocacy related to primary care and climate change.
Eva’s dedication to our mission, passion for promoting population health, and wonderfully upbeat personality will be very much missed. We thank her for her work and laughter and generosity of spirit, wish her great success in her retirement, and hope that we’ll be able to “lure her back” from time-to-time to NWRPCA gatherings! We love you, Eva.
