Overview

NWRPCA will be offering a series of ten governance webinars from November 2016 - September 2017 (excluding May 2017) that will focus on a variety of topics that relate directly to Community Health Center Boards of Directors.  Each live webinar presentation will last approximately 20 minutes plus an additional 25 minutes to get all of your questions answered and dive into discussion. Live webinar sessions will be recorded and available for purchase year-round for on-demand access.

 

This is a perfect opportunity to convene your Board around the table, or tune-in to each webinar at your convenience. This webinar series is appropriate for Board Members who may be new to the health center world or those who would like a refresher, as well as new CHC staff or staff working closely with the Board.

 

Each webinar will take place the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12:00 - 12:45pm PDT/PST. Session instructor information will be shared soon.

Dr. Nathan Brown, TrueBearing Consulting

 

Nathan Brown, TrueBearing co-founder, works primarily with organizations navigating the liabilities and opportunities inherent in times of significant change. As a psychologist, Dr. Brown brings to his work a deep understanding of the personal challenges facing today's leaders, as well as experience with the organizational strategies that nurture professional success. Dr. Brown is passionate about unleashing the power of practical, evidence-based methods in support of personal and organizational missions.

Dr. Pam Byrnes, JSI Inc.

 

Dr. Byrnes’ training and experience is a unique combination of quantitative methods, health care systems, and health care policy. She has a PhD in Sociology and Health Care and an MS in applied statistics and research methods. Dr. Byrnes has been engaged in epidemiological research, health policy development and implementation, and consumer health care advocacy for over thirty years. She works with community health centers, state and national associations, public and private non-profit organizations in increasing their resource environments and reshaping their policy landscapes to allow for organizational growth. Dr. Byrnes specializes in community needs assessments and market analysis, strategic planning, Board training and development, program development and evaluation, organization and association development and management, operations assessments, policy development and advocacy.

Liz Latonero, Consultant

 

Liz Latonero is a nonprofit consultant that focuses on building board effectiveness. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years in the areas of governance and fundraising. She is a proud Co-Founder and Board Chair Emeritus of Wide Eyed Productions, a non-profit theatre company based in New York City. Liz has a Master's in Public Administration with a focus in International Health Policy from New York University and a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. Ultimately, Liz hopes that her work inspires the public to take action on key issues facing their community, particularly as they relate to health, gender equity and poverty alleviation.

Kimberly McNally, McNally & Associates

 

Kimberly McNally, MN, RN, BCC, leads McNally & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in healthcare leadership and governance development. As an experienced leader and certified executive coach, she helps senior executives accelerate their leadership skills and build strong teams. She works with organizations to achieve board-management alignment and to increase board effectiveness.

 

Kimberly has worked with leaders across the health care spectrum, including hospitals, health systems, community health centers, ambulatory surgery centers, home care agencies, long term care facilities, physician practices, medical technology companies, research institutions and health plans. In addition, she has served leaders in higher education, public school districts, trade associations, housing authorities, and public utilities. Since 1998, she has served more than 100 organizations nationally and internationally.

Training Fees

Standard webinar fees:

$800 for the entire ten-part series

 

NWRPCA/CHAMPS Member webinar fees:

$750 for the entire ten-part series

 

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email is fine). If you cancel your registration at least one week before the first scheduled webinar, you will be refunded the full cost of your purchase. If you decide to cancel after any webinars have occurred, you will be refunded the cost of all remaining webinars in the series. All refunds are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee.

 

Any registrations purchased within 48 hours of the start of a webinar will not receive log in information for the webinar. The recording of the webinar will be made available within several days of the webinar's conclusion.

 

Participants who register midway through the series will receive recordings of all previous webinars.
