Grant Writing: Prepare for SAC or NAP 2016

Dates: November 5 & November 12, 2015

Location: Online

Overview

The Service Area Competition guidance has been revised for FY2016. The forms and the narrative changes reflect the continued focus on demonstrating compliance with the 19 Program Requirements, and illustrating federal and non-federal share on the budget documents. Grantees that submit an incomplete or poorly written SAC grant application may have their application rejected or end up with conditions of award for non-compliance.

For anyone planning a New Access Point application in the future, changes in the SAC guidance will likely be reflected in any NAP grant announcements too. This workshop will take the participants through the latest SAC grant guidance and identify what the reviewers are looking for in terms of compliance in each section. The presentation breaks down which sections in the SAC narrative, budget, forms and attachments are used to measure grantee compliance with each of the 19 Program Requirements.

The workshop will provide concrete examples that grantees can use to demonstrate compliance with the 19 Program Requirements through the SAC or a NAP grant application. Participants with an upcoming SAC or considering a NAP grant in the future will get a jump start on planning for a successful application.

I especially appreciate the practice tips. When Rebecca talks, I'm listening!" - Jennifer Kreidler-Moss, CEO, Peninsula Community Health Services, on Rebecca Johnson's previous webinar series

“I am definitely looking forward to participating in the grant writing webinar series. I’ve received overwhelming positive feedback from my staff and managers about NWRPCA trainings.
